Topic: Leading with Style
"What is your leadership style?"
Our speaker will be Liz Weatherhead.  Liz has led learners through dynamic, high impact seminars for such clients as Medtronic, American Family Insurance and Aveda Corporation. The seminar topic is "Leading with Style."  How does your leadership style affect your weekly staff meetings?  Are the staff meetings run to embrace the learning styles of all team members to maximize engagement and effectiveness?  Does your staff leave meetings with connection and clear relevance of the presented agenda?  Dive into your preferred style with the Leadership Behavior Inventory.  The assessment is based on 4MAT, a learning type measure that was developed by Dr. Bernice McCarthy and embraced by over 600,000 teachers across the U.S.  We will start promptly at 11:30 because Liz has assured me that we will need the full amount of time.

Nominate someone for the Divsion Leadersip Achievement Award by November 10
We need to nominate a person for the "Division Leadership Achievement Award."  We need to make the nomination quickly as the recommendation form, candidate information form and a candidate photograph must be delivered to the division president (me) no later than November 10th.  The award honors principals within each division who, through effort have made contributions to the advancement of the elementary principal, supports the principalship and provides public awareness of the principalship. The principal is a representative of the many principals who daily influence the lives of teachers and students. I will need to have the completed information to MESPA by November 29th.  Please send me the name of the individual who you believe is deserving of the Leadership Achievement Award.
