Minnesota Children's Museum Receives National Honor for The Wakanheza Project

The Minnesota Children's Museum has been recognized with a Promising Practice Award from the national Association of Children's Museums. The museum accepted the award at the national ACM conference in Boston in April 2007.

The award committee was very enthusiastic about Wakanheza and its use in museums and schools. The Minnesota Children's Museum is being honored for its Wakanheza partnership -- creating a focus on a collaborative community effort that is replicable at other museums in the future.
