Abe Across America!
Your photo with Abraham Lincoln could win you a five-day trip to walk in Abe's footsteps.

Each year 50 educators from around the country are selected for the Horace Mann - Abraham Lincoln Fellowship program. Fellows spend a week of their summer walking in Abe's footsteps as they tour various historical sites in Illinois, including the Abraham Lincoln Presidential Library and Museum, Lincoln's New Salem State Historic Site, Lincoln's home, Lincoln's tomb and the Old State Capitol State Historic Site.

The fellowship is open to all active K-12 administrators and teachers in schools served by a Horace Mann agent.

This year's winning fellows will travel to Springfield, Illinois either the week of June 18-22, 2012 or July 9-13, 2012.

How do you apply? Get creative and have a little fun! We're looking for educators - and their students - to pose with Abe in cities across America, and then post their best original photo on the Horace Mann Facebook page. Followers of our Facebook will then vote on the photos they like the best. The top 10 vote getters will be eligible to participate in the Horace Mann - Abraham Lincoln Fellowship. The remaining 40 winners will be selected based on Horace Mann's eight marketing regions.

The contest began on November 1. Winners will be announced on Feb. 10, 2012 on Horace Mann’s Facebook.

View how to apply and the fellowship terms and conditions for more information.
