Free Spirit Publishing and Safe & Caring Schools are partners bringing schools effective resources to improve school climate and help kids achieve academically.

Since 1983, Free Spirit has been a national leader in providing learning tools that meet kids social and emotional needs so they can succeed in school and in life. With books and other resources for young children through teens, and the adults who work with them, Free Spirit helps kids grow from the inside out.

The Safe & Caring Schools research-based program for PreK–Grade 8 incorporates social and emotional learning into daily academic instruction to decrease negative behaviors and build positive school climate  that reduces stress and increases academic success. Classroom-tested SCS resource books, CD-ROMs, and posters provide the practical tools teachers, kids, and schools need to build skills for school and for life.
