 | Sad news: death of RaNae Nelson

Good Morning Western Division Members:
I'm saddened to inform all of you that RaNae Nelson, long time elementary principal at Pearson Elementary in Wheaton, suffered a heart attack and passed away this weekend. (Note: According to Tom Muchlinski, executive director of the Minnesota Council of Teachers of Mathematics, RaNae and her niece were on their way to Clinton for her mom's 80th birthday on Saturday and RaNae had a heart attack. She had been shoveling snow in the morning and hadn't felt well after.) As all of you know, RaNae was a very active member of our Western Division and served as president-elect and president as well as on other committees. In visiting with Greg Esala this morning, we have decided to send flowers on behalf of our Western Division. Thank you to Greg for taking care of this!
The funeral arrangements include the following:
Wednesday, April 30, visitation from 5:00-8:00 p.m. at the Larson Funeral Home in Clinton. (Or, visitation may be at Trinity Lutheran Church in Clinton. When I visited with Larson Funeral Home this morning, they indicated that the visitation location might still be undecided.)
Thursday, May 1, funeral at 11:00 a.m. at Trinity Lutheran Church in Clinton.
