Active, dues $636: Any person licensed as an elementary or middle
level principal, actively engaged in a supervisory role as principal
or assistant principal, or a person on special assignment holding a
principal's contract. This membership category is the only one to carry
voting privileges and the right to hold office.
Other Administrator, dues $484: Any educational administrator other than someone eligible for ACTIVE membership who is licensed by designated state agency.
Intern Principal, dues $163: Educators interested in entering the profession
and involved in a recognized administration preparation program serving
as an intern principal under direct supervision of an active principal.
Associate, dues $163: A licensed, non-practicing administrator or post secondary educator, or a retired principal who is currently working in education but outside of an active principalship.
Retired Principal, dues $40: A retired principal who was an Active member at the time of retirement, and who is no longer working in education.
A retired principal who is working as an Interim principal must join in the Active category for legal benefits.
25 Year Club, dues $10: Have you been in education for 25 years? The
Twenty-Five Year Club is an organization within MESPA. Candidates for membership
must have served as a practicing teacher and/or administrator for a
total of 25 years or more, serving 10 or more of those years as an
elementary/middle level principal. For information on joining, click here.
Aspiring Principal, dues $59: Educators interested in entering the profession and/or involved in a recognized administration preparation program.
Unrequested Leave, dues $163: Anyone who was an active member the year that placement of unrequested leave occurred.

MESPA encourages any retired principal who is working in an interim role as a principal, or is filling in for a principal on leave, to join the association as an Active category member for the legal benefits.
