 | Mayor Proclaims April 9 as Gideon Pond Day
Mayor Elizabeth Kautz and city council members have declared that
Friday, April 9, is Gideon Pond Elementary Day in the city of Burnsville
in recognition of the school receiving the 2009-2010 Minnesota School
of Excellence Award. The designation was approved to congratulate
Burnsville-Eagan-Savage School District 191 and Gideon Pond Elementary
for exemplary work in educating the youth of Burnsville, according to
the proclamation. Principal Laura Pierce accepted the award at the city
