The MESPA (Minnesota Elementary School Principals’ Association) is
accepting proposals for focus sessions to be presented at the 2009
MESPA Institute -- our annual statewide convention held at the Sheraton
Bloomington Hotel, Bloomington, MN.
The Institute 2009 theme
is “Shaping Great Minds.” We are seeking proposals for concurrent
60-minute focus sessions to be offered on Thursday, February 5, 2009.
The proposals should fit into one of four strands on the role of the
principal in increasing student achievement via: • Response to Intervention (RtI) • Professional Learning Communities (PLCs) • School and Student Safety • Physical Education and Movement, tying movement to learning
We
are seeking a broad spectrum of practical approaches to these concepts
– as schools fall along on a continuum in interpretation and
implementation. MESPA is a grassroots association.
Share your best practices with your peers.
Proposals are due September 8, 2008.
For complete details on submitting an electronic proposal, scroll to the 09InstituteRFP
PDF document below. Proposals will be reviewed by the MESPA Educational
Advisory Committee. They will be evaluated for relevance to the above
strands, quality, potential to fulfill current topical interest, and
balance across session topics. Submissions will receive a response from
MESPA in October, by October 20, 2008.
