MESPA Colleague to Colleague
A statewide forum for MESPA members, 
Minnesota's elementary and middle level principals.

 
As peers in the principalship, you are one another’s best source of information and support. Colleague to Colleague is the statewide online forum for MESPA members: ask questions on best practices, curriculum, professional and staff development, testing, school human resources concerns, negotiation processes, etc.

READY TO JOIN MESPA COLLEAGUE TO COLLEAGUE?
Any MESPA member may join the MESPA Colleague to Colleague forum. 
  1. Click on "Visit this group" in the right column on this page.
  2. Click on “Sign in and apply for membership.”
  3. Click on “Create an account now.”
  4. Enter your e-mail address, create a password, and follow other instructions for opening your account.
  5. You will be asked if you are a MESPA member: type in your name and where you are a principal.  All MESPA members will be approved for membership within one day. You’ll receive an e-mail notice that you’re in!
 
GETTING TOO MANY COLLEAGUE TO COLLEAGUE E-MAILS EACH DAY? 
You may set your preference for how many e-mails you would like to receive — and you can revise this preference at any time.
  1. Go to Colleague to Colleague, and click "Sign in to Google Groups."  
  2. Enter your e-mail address and password.
  3. Click on “Edit my membership” in the right column.
  4. Under “How do you want to read this group, click on one of four options:
  • No e-mail: read Colleague to Colleague postings only by going to the forum itself.
  • Abridged e-mail: receive one e-mail each day, summarizing new forum postings from that day.
  • Digest e-mail: receive one e-mail each day, with up to 25 new forum postings bundled together.
  • E-mail: receive an e-mail for each new forum posting.

How to post new questions
1. Go to Colleague to Colleague
2. Enter your e-mail address and password.
3. Click on “New Post,” on the “Discussions” line.
4. Type the “Subject” of your question.
5. Type your question under “Message.”
6. Click on “Post Message.”


How to respond to questions
1.  Go to Colleague to Colleague. (Note: If you click "Reply" to an e-mail notice of a posting, your reply will not be posted on Colleague to Colleague and will not be received by the individual who asked the question you’re answering!)
2.  Enter your e-mail address and password.
3.  Click on the “Discussion” title you would like to respond to. (You will then see a list of all postings for that discussion.)
4.  Click on “Reply” below the posting. (Note: If you click on Reply to Author or Forward, you answer will not be posted.)
5.  Type your answer and click “Send” at the bottom of the answer box.
