MESPA brings you proven and researched-based strategies and techniques for effectively working to improve teaching and learning: a three-part seminar series on Teacher Evaluation for Principals. The series is held in collaboration with the secondary school principals association (MASSP).

The latest MN requirements for teacher evaluation, definitions and examples of effective teaching related to evaluation criteria. The seminar will build your knowledge base using your present teacher evaluation system. Bring your teacher evaluation instruments, guidelines, etc.
 
PART 2:
Improving Marginal Teacher Performance

Deal effectively with marginal teachers; help them learn the strategies they need to implement in order to be successful. The seminar will focus on gathering data, understanding marginal performance, developing conferences to share concerns, and creating follow-up strategies.
 
PART 3:
Dealing with Deficient & Non-Performing Teachers

Wednesday, September 18, 2013
Learn how to deal with deficient teachers, provide intensive assistance, and move through the termination process.
