The workshop will place an emphasis on supporting ADD/ADHD students by presenting strategies for assistance in all of the areas of re-licensure: i.e., reading strategies, behavior support, accommodations, and the onset of mental illness.  The presentation will emphasize ADD/ADHD is not a skill deficit, but is a skill set.   

Schedule
7:30 a.m. - 5 p.m.

  • 7:30-8 a.m., Check-in and Coffee
  • Mental Health ADD/ADHD Strengths and Strategies (2 clock hours)
  • Reading Interventions for ADD/ADHD Students (2 clock hours)
  • Noon-1 p.m., Lunch
  • Positive Behavior Interventions for ADD/ADHD Students (2 clock hours)
  • Special Education Accommodations for ADD/ADHD students (2 clock hours)
