Olivia Gault, MESPA Director of Communications and Professional Development
Olivia Gault has 25+ years experience in communications and public relations working with education, social service, and health care institutions: including MESPA, Medtronic, Children's Hospitals and Clinics of MN, Pillsbury, St. Paul Intervention Project.  As a teacher of writing and communications, her clients include:  The Loft (Minneapolis), Elk River Arts Council, Ford Motor Company (Basildon, England), Minnesota Institute for Talented Youth (Macalester College).

As MESPA Director of Communications and Professional Development, she creates and implements the association’s communication and marketing strategies, and has redefined it's audience and message to more clearly target the needs of today’s principal. Olivia has been with MESPA since 2002. She oversees the Web site, Advocate newsletter, E-News, Colleague to Colleague, Twitter, marketing materials, MESPA investments and budget control. She is the guiding hand behind the association's highly-valued professional development events -- including the signature MESPA Institute, our statewide convention. She is the staff liaison to the Minnesota School of Excellence, Educational Advisory, and Communications Committees -- and assists with Legislative Resolutions.

"I hone our public relations, communications, and professional development tools to attract and maintain business, education, legislative, and community partners – while continuing to support MESPA's vision to be the premiere resource for preparing today's principals for tomorrow and a strong leading voice for public education." 

Olivia received a Master of Arts in English with an emphasis in writing from the University of Minnesota in Minneapolis, and a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from Northwestern University in Evanston, IL.
