Catch the Spirit at U.S. Women's Golf Open

The United States Golf Association has prepared a special place for kids at the 2008 U.S. Women’s Open:  “Catch the Spirit” at the 63rd U.S. Women's Open, June 23-29, 2008, Interlachen Country Club, Edina, MN. 

As a part of the Catch the Spirit program, kids 17 and under receive complimentary admission everyday when accompanied by a ticketed adult, as well as a course tour, lunch voucher, scavenger hunt, hat and a goodie bag at the “Catch the Spirit” tent. Plus, kids get a front row seat in all grandstands! See the attached Catch the Spirit flyer for details.

Also, elementary students (grades K-5) are invited to design a unique poster that relates to the 2008 U.S. Women’s Open, the USGA and the Catch the Spirit program.  The winning poster will become the official championship poster.

The contest will be open to all Minnesota elementary students, grades K-5. Posters must incorporate the 2008 U.S. Women’s Open and the USGA’s Catch the Spirit program as well as include the championship name, dates, and location.  Posters meeting these requirements will be eligible for judging. One winner will be selected from each grade level with the grand prize winner being selected from these finalists. The grand prize winner’s poster will be reproduced and sold in the merchandise tent.  See the attached Poster Contest Outline for full details.
