Brock International Prize in Education

Stacy DeCorsey, principal of Jordan Elementary School in the Jordan Public School District and a member of the Minnesota Elementary School Principals’ Association, is Minnesota’s 2009 National Distinguished Principal (NDP).  She is serving as a juror on the 2011 panel for the prestigious Brock International Prize in Education.

The purpose of the Brock International Prize is "to identify the best ideas on education in the world and to expose them to our educators, teachers, administrators, and politicians."

In early November, DeCorsey will confer with other jurors  -- and determine the 2011 Brock Prize recipient. To read more about Stacy and the prize, visit the MESPA Press Room.

One of the nominee for the 2011 Brock Prize is Matt Dorschner (principal, Chanhassen Elementary), for his work with the Minnesota School of Excellence Program -- which is viewed as a national model for school engagement and improvement. The 2010 Brock recipient was Geoffrey Canada. To read more about his nomination, visit MESPA Honors.
