Tim Bell, principal of Five Hawks Elementary, Prior Lake-Savage School District

“Students don’t care how much you know until they know that you care.” (Theodore Roosevelt, John Wooden)

Helping coach/lead teachers into and through the Profiles of Learning years and creating a culture of accountability that was embraced and continues today.
Chairing a writing team that procured a two-year LEA grant through the U of MN and federal government for $750,000, that trained teachers in the newest scientifically-backed reading instruction, student practices, and teacher practices.
Bell says that “having touched the lives of over 600 students as a classroom teacher and 4500 as a principal, I know that somewhere out there in our global society I have made a difference. The rewards of education truly lie in the future.”
