| | | MESPA Home > Resources for Principal Leadership > Assessments | | Pearson Perspective Perspective is a teacher and parent tool to help increase student achievement, based on individual Minnesota Comprehensive (MCA-II) test results. Students receive a tailored Perspective student report, providing a clear understanding of where each student is struggling or excelling. Perspective Web sites for families and educators work in conjunction with the student report to provide parents and teachers with a full spectrum of tools that allow them to make the most of their student's test results.
When students receive their Individual Student Results (ISR), they will include a Learning Locator number. This number is tied to the Pearson Perspective Web tool.
Perspective provides remediation and acceleration individualized to each student's needs, based on their individual MCA-II test results. Using the Perspective materials tied to a student's Learning Locator number, parents and teachers can work with student to improve their learning achievement-- at home or at school, on-line or on paper.
