Own Your Data seminars
10/9/2009 - 11/13/2009
NewPrague_OwnData
Ben Silberglitt, standing, discussing data considerations with a team in New Prague (August 28, 2009).

Does your data raise more questions than it answers?

Engage your school or district team in more
powerful and streamlined use of data for decision making!

Response to Intervention (RtI) -- or any other evidence-based practice, is a vital framework for school improvement and student achievement, and is the norm schools are working toward today. And one of the major building blocks, the core of RtI, is data: using data to make instructional decisions.

Own Your Data seminars will encompass:
  • A focus on position descriptions, determining who is responsible for organizing and communicating what data.
  • Strategies for being organized with data management within the school and district, determining who does it and when it should be ready for use.
  • Strategies for building a data culture in your district and school.
  • Hands-on guided data analysis.
Seminar outcomes:
Develop a strong data management plan with strategies tailored to each school/district.
Begin initial school/district data analysis, with guidance on appropriate interpretation of data.
