MAASFEP 2010 Distinguished School Awards

MAASFEP (Minnesota Association of Administrators of State & Federal Education Programs) honored three Minnesota schools in 2010 that have made exceptional growth towards closing the achievement gap and raising achievement for all students. Criteria for the awards include:
  • Growth above state averages as measured by state assessment results;
  • Evidence from at least one other measure that the school is closing the gap and raising achievement;
  • Growth for two or more years.
The awards were presented March 25, 2010 at the annual MAASFEP spring conference: Transforming Practice, doing what works.

Schools receiving 2010 honor as MAASFEP 2010 Distinguished Schools are:
  • Hartley Elementary, Waseca (Michelle Krell, principal)
  • King Elementary, Deer River (Amy Galatz, principal)
  • Minnehaha Elementary, Lake Superior (Patricia Driscoll, principal)
