Joan Kapaun has been working part-time with MESPA since July 2004. As a Staff
Associate, among many other duties Joan assists with seminar registration, Web site updates, PowerPoint creation, seminar flyer design -- as well as routing member requests received over
the phone and by e-mail, and many other duties. She is a staff liaison to the Communications
Committee, and assists with EPAC.
Joan started her career in education teaching special education in Pelican Rapids, MN and Bismarck, ND. She later joined Brimhall Elementary in Roseville, MN, as a member of their support staff. She worked for Dianne Storti in Student Services for Roseville Area Schools, and was the Office Manager for Staff Development at the district level before becoming the lead secretary Edgerton Elementary, Roseville, MN.
Joan received her Bachelor of Arts from St. Cloud State University, MN (K-6 and Special Ed degree). She has two married children and is an active and devoted grandmother to her four grandchildren.
