GOVERNOR'S RECEPTION
March 2, 2010, St. Paul

Minnesota Department of Education Commissioner Alice Seagren and Minnesota Governor Tim Pawlenty recognized exemplary Minnesota education leaders in a Governor's Reception at the Capitol.
 
Honored at the reception were (l-r):
  • Education Minnesota’s Teacher of the Year Amber Damm, a seventh- and eighth-grade English and language arts teacher at Clara Barton Open School in Minneapolis
  • Minnesota Association of Secondary School Principals, Middle Level Principal of the Year, Coleman McDonough, Hazel Park Middle School, Academy, St. Paul
  • Minnesota's Milken Educator Martha Spriggs, a math teacher at Andersen United Community School in Minneapolis
  • Minnesota Governor Tim Pawlenty
