Second Central Division Meeting
Friday, October 10, 2008
- 10:00 - 2:00

At Michael's Restaurant next to the Americana Inn in St. Cloud, just south of the intersection of HWY 23 and HWY 10 in east St. Cloud.  We will meet there in the morning, dine at their buffet for lunch (your own cost) and finish up the meeting after lunch.

P. Fred Storti (MESPA Executive Director) is scheduled to visit with us that day.  Warren Retzlaff, our Negotiations Committee chair will be talking about principal negotiations and sharing information on some prinicpal contracts.  We are also working to schedule a speaker on "Study Island" which is a Web-based program to help your students with the MN academic standards.

Central Division Colleagues:  Please think about a colleague you would like to nominate for the MESPA Division Leadership Award.  This award honors colleagues whose leadership has advanced the role of the elementary and middle level principal.  They serve as role models and sources of inspiration.  Their generous efforts improve student learning, their commuities and their
profession.  The award is an annual recognition made by each of MESPA's 12
divisions.  Any MESPA member may nominate a peer for consideration; division presidents then facilitate the selection process within each division.   Nominations are due to the division president by November 10, 2008.  The selected recipient's name is due to MESPA Dec. 5
